Airtel Money at Playmaster
Airtel Money is the other mobile wallet worth looking for in a Kenyan cashier, and for plenty of people it sits on a second SIM rather than the main one. That detail is exactly why this page exists: a payment from a line registered to a relative, or from an old SIM still in someone else's name, is the classic reason a perfectly normal top-up later blocks a withdrawal. Below is what to check before you use Airtel Money at Playmaster, written by an independent guide that does not run the casino and cannot see your account.

How to deposit with Airtel Money
Start by confirming the method exists for you. Log in, open the cashier and scroll the full deposit list — mobile-money options are sometimes grouped under one heading, so open that group rather than scanning the logos. If Airtel Money is there, choose it, enter the amount in shillings and approve the request on your phone when the prompt appears. The approval happens on the handset holding the Airtel line, so keep that SIM in the phone you are using; a dual-SIM handset may send the prompt to whichever line it treats as the default.
The confirmation SMS is your receipt. Keep it until the deposit shows in your balance, and note the time the money left your wallet. If the cashier lists no Airtel Money option at all, that is the answer for your account at that moment — do not look for a workaround through a third party who offers to pay on your behalf.
Withdrawing to Airtel Money
Cashing out follows the opposite path: withdrawal tab, method, amount, confirm. Check that Airtel Money appears on the withdrawal list too, because deposit and payout menus are not always identical. Operators generally prefer to return money along the route it arrived, and a payout to a wallet registered under a different name than the casino account is the request most likely to be held. Before the first payout you will also be asked to prove your age and identity — in Kenya that means a national ID card or a passport — since the Act requires proof of age before a prize is paid (s.70(6)).
One person, one name, everywhere
The name on the Airtel line, the name on your ID and the name on the Playmaster account must be the same person, spelt the same way. If the SIM was registered years ago by someone else, sort that out with the network before depositing rather than after a win. It is a five-minute problem before the first payment and a long one when money is waiting.
Two SIMs, two wallets: keep it simple
Players who split data and money across two lines sometimes deposit from one wallet and later ask for a payout to the other. Treat that as a change of payment method, which usually needs extra checks. The lighter route is to pick one wallet for the casino and stay with it.
Limits and the excise line
Deposit and withdrawal limits are set per account and per method, so the cashier screen is the only reliable source. The credited figure may also differ from the amount you sent: Kenya applies a 5% excise duty to the amount credited to a gaming wallet (Finance Act 2025, from 1 July 2025, retained in 2026), withheld by the operator. A difference of that size is the duty, not a lost payment.
If the money left but did not arrive
Check your Airtel Money history first, then the cashier history. If the wallet shows a completed payment and the casino does not, contact Playmaster's support with the SMS reference, the amount and the time. If support does not resolve it, our complaints guide explains the next steps in Kenya.
Which methods you see and the limits attached depend on your account — confirm both in the Playmaster cashier. We list Airtel Money as a rail worth looking for, not as a method the operator guarantees.
